Setting: Mainstream Primary School

Pay rate: £70 – £85 per day (Depending on experience)

Working hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm (Term time only)

Active Recruitment are currently seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant with recent classroom-based experience to provide 1:1 and group support to young learners aged 7-11 with additional needs (Autism and Social & Emotional needs). This is an outstanding Primary school which is well equipped to support pupils with a broad and inclusive curriculum as well as facilities, it is known for its positive culture and learning environment, where students are supported to be happy, safe and stimulated throughout their learning day.

The ideal candidate will have:

•         Experience working with pupils with ASD.
•         The ability to assess the individual learning needs of pupils
•         The ability to positively manage challenging behaviour
•         A positive attitude, the ability to empathise and a willingness to develop and learn on the job
•         Be calm, patient and caring approach to working with young people
