    Location: Manor Park, London

    Setting: Outstanding Mainstream Secondary School

    Pay rate: £12.00 – £14.00 per hour (Depending on experience)

    Working hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm (Term time only)

     

    Active Recruitment are working closely with a very reputable mainstream Secondary School in Newham, East London, who are looking for a Children’s SEN Support Worker to provide specialist 1:1 support to children aged 11 – 16 years old with moderate to severe learning difficulties. In this role, you will be working in a specialist provision within a mainstream school with the goal of helping these young students with complex social, emotional & behaviour needs receive the best standard of education possible.

     

    The successful Children’s SEN Support Worker must:

    • Have recent experience within a similar role.
    • Be passionate about working with SEN pupils
    • Be able to modify approach depending on pupils individual needs
    • Be able to inspire and motive those that need additional support
    • Be passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people

     

    Key responsibilities for your role:

    • Working with specific children from age 11-16 that require targeted support.
    • Working alongside other professionals to assess children including writing EHCPs
    • Working with other teaching staff to design the best strategies to meet a pupil’s needs.
