Science Technician needed in East London

Setting: Mainstream Secondary School

Pay: £12.00 – £13.00 per hour

Duration: Long term with view to go permanent

A high achieving and reputable mainstream secondary school in Newham, East London are looking for a Science Technician to join them as soon as possible, on a long-term basis. The purpose of the role is to provide on-going support to the department as a whole, supporting Science teaching staff and supervising practical lessons. This is a fantastic school in the heart of East London who can offer ongoing professional development and opportunities for progression.

Your role as a Science Technician

• Provide support to the teaching of science lessons by preparing and setting up equipment and resources.
• Assisting the delivery of practical lessons, carrying out demonstrations when required.
• Maintenance of the school’s science equipment and resources and reporting any damage and faults.
• Ensuring that health and safety standards are met by maintaining the equipment to a high standard.
